ABC News gave a big boost to the principle of Homeopathy today by covering a fascinating story of a drug-free approach to hyperactivity.
When Christie Haskel’s son Rowan, aged 7, showed signs of hyperactivity, Christie wanted to avoid drugs. She was concerned about side effects of pharmaceuticals like Ritalin, that are commonly used to treat the disorder. She decided to do some online research and found that people whose kids were hyperactive were using caffeinated sodas and coffee to calm their kids down.
Inadvertently, they had all discovered the natural law that Homeopathy is based on:
Like can be cured by like.
In other words a healthy person who drinks coffee will often feel full of energy – maybe way too much for comfort! For this reason coffee can bring relief to a person who feels the same way.
Now Rowan has a four ounce “medicinal” cup of coffee twice daily and his symptoms have improved.
Christie says: “He doesn’t overreact if we ask him to pick up Legos … And if we ask him to sit down and do homework, he can actually do it.”
Rowan told an ABC News team he enjoyed drinking coffee because it tasted good and calmed him down. What parents whose children are labeled ADD or ADHD sufferers might really like to know is they can also avoid the unwanted side effects of soda and coffee, too, by giving a homeopathic dose of Coffea tosta 30c instead. Not repeatedly, but just once and then again if and when the same symptoms return.
In fact for best results, rather than just give Coffea tosta (the name of the homeopathic remedy) a professional homeopath can individually select exactly the right remedy for your child. This is well documented in an excellent book on the subject called:
“Ritalin-Free Kids: Safe and Effective Homeopathic Medicine for ADD and Other Behavioral and Learning Problems” by Robert Ullman N.D. and Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D.
