Dr Oz on Homeopathy: "You've got to try it."

Homeopathy was mentioned favorably once again this month by Dr Oz. In response to a viewer’s tweeted question, he said: “I think you should evaluate it (Homeopathy) and so many of these alternative medicine therapies are experiential. You’ve got to try it. If it works for you, keep doing it and if doesn’t work don’t waste your money. But I know in our family, my wife uses homeopathic therapies for our kids and they seem to benefit from it. So since these are tiny doses of products that don’t seem to have any down side, I endorse it.”

This is great advice. It’s very inexpensive to try Homeopathy at home for injuries and minor illnesses. Remember, it is choosing the correct match for your particular problem that makes a remedy homeopathic. It has to be able to cause ‘similar suffering’ to what you are experiencing in order to be effective. In fact the word Homeopathy is Greek for ‘similar suffering.’

One of the really empowering things about using Homeopathy is that you can be confident there will be no unwanted side effects. If you happen to choose a remedy that doesn’t work, then you go back to square one and choose another remedy that is a better match. It is wonderful to use remedies that honor the most important rule in medicine: “First do no harm.”

Another great thing about homeopathic remedies is that they are exceptionally good value, especially if you buy remedies in a kit format. Each remedy costs only a couple of dollars. Usually only one or two doses are needed for each complaint. This means you can often use a kit to treat your family and friends for years, before you need a refill. Usually that refill will be the multi-use remedy Arnica.

Here, in an earlier show, Dr Oz explains how he and his family use Arnica.
